Terms & Conditions
Last updated September 18, 2026
These terms are an agreement between AppMockUp Studio ("AppMockUp Studio", "we", "us") and you. They cover the AppMockUp Studio editor at studio.app-mockup.com and its beta and nightly versions, this website at app-mockup.com, and the premium templates sold in AppMockUp Studio. By using any of them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
Using AppMockUp Studio
AppMockUp Studio is free to use. It needs no account and runs entirely in your browser.
You may use it, and everything you export from it, for any lawful purpose, including commercial ones: your App Store and Google Play listings, your website, ads and other marketing.
We keep improving AppMockUp Studio, so features can change, move or be removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. We do not promise that any particular feature will stay available.
Your work stays with you
Your projects are never sent to us, and AppMockUp Studio does not store them in your browser either. A project exists only while its page is open, and the only lasting copy is the .mockup file you save to your own device.
There is no autosave of any kind. Closing or refreshing the page, or a browser crash, loses everything since your last save, and we have no copy from which to restore it.
Saving your work regularly, and keeping backups of your .mockup files, is your responsibility.
What you own
Everything you bring into AppMockUp Studio stays yours: screen captures, images, logos and text. We claim no rights to it, and we never receive it.
The screenshots you export are yours to use as you wish. Where they include parts of AppMockUp Studio, such as backgrounds, patterns or template artwork, you may use those parts as part of your screenshots and marketing. You may not extract them to sell or distribute on their own.
You are responsible for having the right to use whatever you upload: it must not infringe anyone else's copyright, trademarks or other rights.
What we own
AppMockUp Studio itself (its software, design, templates, graphics and name) belongs to AppMockUp Studio. Using it gives you the rights described in these terms and no others. In particular, you may not copy, resell or offer AppMockUp Studio or its templates as a product or service of your own.
Device frames and other companies' products
The device frames in AppMockUp Studio show phones, tablets and other devices made by Apple, Google, Samsung and other manufacturers. The designs of those devices, and the device images the frames are based on, belong to their manufacturers, not to AppMockUp Studio. We make them available so you can show your app on the devices it runs on, and we claim no ownership of them.
When you publish screenshots with a device frame, you are responsible for following the manufacturer's rules for showing its products, such as Apple's marketing guidelines.
Apple, iPhone, iPad, App Store, Google, Pixel, Google Play, Samsung, Galaxy and other product names are trademarks of their owners. AppMockUp Studio is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. The examples on this website are recreations made to show what AppMockUp Studio can do; they do not suggest any connection with the apps they show.
Premium templates
Some templates are premium and can be bought inside AppMockUp Studio. The price is shown before you buy.
Payment and refunds
Purchases are made through Stripe's Link, which acts as the seller of record: the checkout shows your purchase as "Sold through Link". Link takes the payment, applies any sales tax or VAT, sends your receipt, and handles payment questions, refund requests and disputes under Link's terms. If you are a consumer in the European Union, those terms include a 14-day period in which you can cancel your order.
For anything about the template itself, write to us at [email protected].
Your template licence
Each purchase gives you a licence to use that template for one app, any number of times. For that app you may, for example:
- use it for every store listing, device and language;
- change it as much as you like;
- use it again whenever you update the app's screenshots;
- use the screenshots made with it anywhere you market the app.
Using the template for another app needs another purchase. You may not share, resell or redistribute the template itself, whether as it is or changed, or offer it as a template of your own.
Acceptable use
Please do not use AppMockUp Studio or this website to:
- break any law, or help anyone else to;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights;
- make false or misleading screenshots, for example ones that impersonate another app or claim features your app does not have;
- harass, defame or discriminate against anyone;
- upload or spread malicious code;
- interfere with the service, overload it or get around its security;
- copy templates or other paid content in bulk, or get around what the template licence allows.
We may restrict access to anyone who breaks these rules.
Links to other websites
This website and AppMockUp Studio link to other websites, such as Stripe, YouTube and the app stores. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices; their own terms apply when you use them.
Liability
AppMockUp Studio is provided free, as it is. We work hard to make it reliable, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or right for your particular purpose.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost business, and our total liability to you for anything connected with a premium template is limited to what you paid for it.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited, such as liability for intent or gross negligence or for death or personal injury, and nothing in them takes away the rights you have as a consumer, including your rights when digital content does not work as described.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer living in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live.
If something goes wrong, please write to us first at [email protected]. Most problems are solved faster that way.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as AppMockUp Studio changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Changes apply from that date and do not affect templates you bought before it: a licence you already have keeps the terms it was sold under.
