Renaming Layers

Keep your projects organized by giving your layers meaningful names. Learn how to rename different types of layers in AppMockUp Studio.

Renaming from the Layers Panel

The Layers panel is the primary place to rename your layers. Here's how:

Steps:

1. Locate the layer you want to rename in the Layers panel

2. Double-click on the layer name

3. Type the new name

4. Press Enter or click outside to save

Pro Tips:

• Use descriptive names that indicate the layer's purpose

• Consider using a naming convention for similar layers

• Clear names make it easier to find layers later

Renaming Main Screenshots

Main Screenshots can be renamed from two locations:

• From the Layers panel (like any other layer)

• Directly from the Main Screenshot navbar

Organization Tips

Good layer naming helps keep your projects organized and easier to manage. Consider these naming strategies:

• Use descriptive names (e.g., "Header Title" instead of "Text 1")

• Group related layers with similar naming patterns

• Include function or purpose in the name when relevant

• Keep names concise but meaningful
