After a year of intensive development and invaluable community feedback, we're thrilled to introduce the next evolution of AppMockUp Studio. Before diving into the details, let's address what matters most: AppMockUp Studio remains completely free to use, with no account required. We believe in removing barriers between creators and great tools.
A New Foundation
When we first launched AppMockUp Studio, we set out to solve a clear problem: existing screenshot generators weren't meeting the needs of modern app developers and designers.
While our initial release pushed the boundaries of what was possible, we knew there was room for improvement.
We've spent the past year rebuilding the platform from the ground up, focusing on workflow efficiency, creative freedom, and professional-grade output.
Interface & Workflow Enhancements
The new interface brings together power and simplicity. We've reimagined every interaction point to create a more intuitive workflow.
The color picker now supports natural language input, allowing you to specify colors using common terms like "blue" or "red." This enhancement streamlines the design process, especially for those who aren't familiar with hexadecimal values.

Our new layer management system provides granular control over every element. The improved auto-layout system intelligently handles positioning while giving you the flexibility to make precise adjustments when needed.
Combined with the new keyboard shortcuts and undo/redo functionality, you can maintain a fast, efficient workflow without sacrificing control.
Advanced Design Tools
The gradient editor exemplifies our approach to combining power with usability. You can add, remove, rotate, and flip color stops with precision, all while seeing your changes in real-time.

The pattern generator opens up new creative possibilities with customizable shapes, padding, colors, and strokes – perfect for creating distinctive backgrounds that make your screenshots stand out.

Image editing capabilities now include comprehensive controls for brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation, eliminating the need to switch between multiple applications.
Instance Screenshots: A New Paradigm
Perhaps the most significant addition is our Instance Screenshots architecture. This feature addresses a fundamental challenge in app store marketing: different devices require different approaches.
Instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all solution, you can now create a main design and selectively override properties for specific devices. This ensures your screenshots look perfect across every device while maintaining brand consistency.
